Why did you start affiliate marketing?

I am a working man but I wanted to make more money. When I came to know about affiliate marketing, I joined it. So basically, I started it to earn extra money.

Can you share a little bit about how you get started with affiliate marketing and when you started?

One day when I was scrolling on a Blog website, I came to know about this.  Soon I started to utilize the blogger platform to start affiliate marketing. After a few months, I got a lot of visitors to my blog.

What was interesting about affiliate marketing?

People think that affiliate marketing is rocket science. They believe that they can’t understand it. But It is not that hard to do. Also, it will last longer as long as the marketing link is active.

How did you first find out about affiliate marketing?

While using social media, I realised that many people, especially popular bloggers, shared a lot of products. They said that they can also gain extra money without selling the products. I got tempted when I found this and finally joined it.

Were you worried that it might be a scam?

Just like all newcomers, I was also in a dilemma that it might be a scam. But when I searched about it, I found that a lot of people are already in this field. I think as long as it is free to register, it will be ok for us.

How has your life changed since starting affiliate marketing?

Now my life is totally different compared to the past. Now I don’t have any financial hurdles. I can make extra money. Now I can purchase more products and have a lot to share with others. I write reviews on blogs which help a lot of people in choosing the perfect product.

What does your regular day look like?

Now I am happier. My regular day is the same as earlier. I am eager to have more products and always seek to share more. Sharing makes me more energetic and keeps me motivated to write more blogs. 

How do you create content to promote the products?

Usually, I will share more on my blog. First, I promote what products I have. The benefits, pros & cons, and then share the link. Other than that, I also use my Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram with my friends and followers. Also, I share the product as well as the link to buy.

Did you manage to influence your friends or family to join affiliate marketing?

My friends and family members have a keen interest in affiliate marketing. But so far I have managed to influence only my sister. My sister also wants to make extra money while using social media. I hope in the future, I can manage to influence my whole family and my circle of friends.

Do you see yourself doing affiliate marketing in the long run or is it short-term?

I think I will do it in the long term. It is free to register so people don’t have any issues with scams. The future of affiliate marketing is very bright because people will never quit using social media. In the era of social media, it is not hard to reach out to other people. 

What are the challenges you faced when you first joined affiliate marketing?

I had some issues in sharing the link. Initially, the reach of my blogs was very less and that was a big challenge for me. People read my blogs but didn’t purchase the products with my link. That was another challenge. But when people got to know me, my reach increased. People also started to buy with my link.

What are the new challenges you are facing now?

I am facing a content challenge. It is very hard for me to create good content. The content should be catchy and provocative. Making good content is one of the major challenges I am facing right now. 

What are your tips to remain relevant and active on the social media platform?

The major tip I want to share with you is to keep sharing useful knowledge about products. Make content that is catchy. Never get involved in any politics or in any political conversation.

What do you think is the key to becoming a successful affiliate marketer?

The key to be a successful affiliate marketer is content. Do a lot of content to attract more visitors. If you have more visitors, you have more chances to be famous.
